Residential

Print the 2018 Residential Rebate Form and follow instructions. Send the completed rebate application along with your sales receipt(s) and Energy Guide. Rebate applications for purchases made in the previous year are due by March 31 of the current year.

Air Conditioners

Purchasing a new energy-efficient model could cut your cooling costs by 20 to 50 percent. Air conditioner efficiency is rated by the Season Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) for central air conditioners or the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) for room air conditioners. A higher rating indicates a more efficient air conditioner.

Rebates & Qualifications

The yellow Energy Guide label with the EER or SEER rating must be sent in with the application to receive the rebate.

Dishwashers

ENERGY STAR certified dishwashers use advanced technology to get your dishes clean while using less water and energy.

Rebates & Qualifications

Refrigerators/Freezer

Replacing your old refrigerator or freezer with a new energy-efficient model could save up to 1,000 kWh per year, or about $60.  Refrigerators must be greater than 15 cu. feet.

Rebates & Qualifications

  • $50 rebate for any Energy Star labeled refrigerator
  • See the Energy Star website for refridgerators overview, specification, and buying guidance.
  • $20 rebate for any Energy Star labeled freezer
  • See the Energy Star website for freezers overview, specification, and buying guidance.

Clothes Washer

Up to 90 percent of the cost of washing your clothes comes from heating the water. A front-loading washing machine uses up to 60 percent less water than a standard top-loading washing machine. Standard washing machines use as much as 20 gallons of water per load, while front-loading machines use as little as four to five gallons. Front-loading washing machines clean your clothes better, have more room for larger loads, and have faster spin speeds so clothes spend less time in the dryer.

Electric Water Heaters

Water heaters are the second greatest energy consumers in the average home. They account for 15 to 25 percent of the average household energy budget. Water heater efficiency is based on the Energy Factor, or EF, of the unit. A higher EF rating indicates a more efficient water heater (water heaters must be greater than or equal to 40 gallon+ and have an EF rating equal to .94). Today's water heaters can save $100-$300 in their first year and $150 annually for years 2-10.

Rebates & Qualifications

  • $150 rebate for 40+ gallon, EF .94 water heater
  • $200 rebate for 40+ gallon, EF .95 water heater
  • $200 rebate for whole house electric system
  • $300 rebate for heat pump
  • See the Energy Star website for electric water heaters overview, specification, and buying guidance.

Electric Water Heat Discount

  • Customers using electric water heaters (30-gallon capacityor greater) qualify for a 10% discount on their total monthly energy charge before the electric heat discount. The maximum discount is $5.50 per month. When the water heater has a tank capacity of less than 50 gallons, e recommend a fast-recovery type with heating elements of not less than 3,000 watts. We also recommend operating at a nominal voltage of 240 volts.
  • Discounts will not apply to any EAC charge or the facility charge.
  • Minimum bill: $12.00per month

Light Emitting Diode (LED)

LED stands for light-emitting diode. LEDs are small light sources that become illuminated by the movement of electrons through a semiconductor material. LEDs can be integrated into all sorts of products to provide white and colored light, such as flashlights, light bulbs, and integrated light fixtures. Learn about LEDs.

Air-Source Heat Pump

ENERGY STAR qualified electric air-source heat pumps have higher Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) and Energy Efficiency Ratios (EER) than today's standard models, making them about 9% more efficient than non-qualified models. They also have a higher Heating and Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF), which measures the heating efficiency of the heat pump.
