MachLink® Help Center
Drivers are software components that are needed to run hardware such as your printer, monitor or scanner. Drivers usually come pre-installed in your new computer.
When you run your computer the first time, you may have to configure the correct driver for your brand and model of hardware, such as the printer. But if you buy a new printer later, you will need the new driver for it. Sometimes the new driver comes packed with the new device in the form of a floppy disk or CD and you just have to install it. Sometimes, however, you may have to download the new driver from the manufacturer's web site.
Even for your old devices, a better driver may be available from that device's manufacturer. Check the device manufacturer's web site for the latest information and keep drivers updated on a regular basis for your hardware.
We have provided a few links to drivers of Network Interface Cards (NIC) that Muscatine Power and Water has used when installing Internet services. If you are not sure WHAT driver to use for your PC and additional hardware, such as printers and scanners, please call our 24/7 Helpdesk at 563-262-3422 and our friendly representatives will be happy to assist you.
