Focused on the Rebuild America Energy Efficiency Program, this presentation reviews accomplishments of the Rebuild Muscatine Iowa program and discusses energy saving commercial opportunities.

Renewable Energy, Solar Cooking and Energy Inspections
This fun and dynamic presentation explains where energy comes from, discusses renewable forms of energy and provides an overview of how to perform an energy inspection. Students cook on a solar oven and view a presentation of an electric bicycle.
Audience – 4th through 6th graders (can be tailored for other age groups)

Solar Oven Workshop
A hands-on workshop teaching how to build and cook with a solar oven made out of recycled cardboard. Participants are encouraged to take the oven they build home and demonstrate this technology to others.
Audiences – all ages (class are limited to 25 participants)

Photovoltaics (PV)
Learn about the Photovoltaics (PV) industry. It discusses the history of PV, explains the PV effect, describes cell manufacturing technology, compares system output to utility demand and how PV is a value added product for utilities. It covers the marketing of a PV system, the challenges, customer interests, and product attributes and solutions for overcoming barriers.
