Cable Modem service is limited to the MPW Digital TV service territory. (Muscatine, Fruitland, and a few
surrounding areas, such as Ripley's and Hickory Hills). Drop/bury installation is $50 extra.

Qualified sites are determined by those who can receive a strong enough signal from our wireless transmitters located on top of the water tower on the Hwy. 61 Bypass and on top of our power plant generating units. For those that qualify, Internet speeds up to 512K are available.

Standard Wireless Equipment Warranty
The wireless equipment provided by MP&W comes with a standard one-year manufacturer's warranty.

Basic Service: Pay in full at the time of installation and receive equipment with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
Warranty Plus: Pay in full at the time of installation and sign up for Warranty Plus service (no commitmentrequired).
Warranty Plus Savings: Purchase the equipment at a special 50% discount by agreeing to subscribe to
Warranty Plus service for a minimum of 24 months. (In the event that service is terminated before the expiration of the 24-month agreement, the remaining balance of the 24-month Warranty Plus subscription agreement, at current Warranty Plus rates, will be due in full at the time of service cancellation.)

Required Speeds
MachLink Turbo (speeds up to 3Mbps/512kbps) Cable Modem or higher is required for home networking due to several users accessing the system. This speed allows you to be more efficient and saves you and your family time and money.
File and Printer Sharing
With MachLink Home Networking, you can have individual work stations, share a common printer and store popular files all in one place everyone can access them. Everyone can do more quicker, and there is no waiting if someone else is using the Internet.
Equipment
Equipment for MachLink Home Networking is provided to the customer. Home networking wireless system equipment becomes property of the customer except for the router. There is a $225.00 unreturned/damaged replacement charge for routers.
Customer-owned wireless NIC cards must be compatible with MachLink specifications. (802.11 B/G) The first two wireless NIC cards will be provided to the customer at no charge and become property of the customer. Additional wireless NIC cards are $40.00 each.
Security
MachLink Home Networking provides a built-in firewall, parental controls, and Web filters. You'll have all the benefits of MachLink cable Internet service and none of the worry, plus a local HelpDesk to rely upon when needed.
System Requirements for Windows and Mac OS 10.2 and up. (not Bluetooth or other) Both require either a PCMCIA interface or an open USB port.

Devices
You can have up to 5 computers (devices) connected to your Home Network at one time. (Additional charges will apply for any over the 5 device limit.)
Range of Access
The range will vary based on many sources including; interference, number of floors and walls, building materials used, and presence of large metal objects. These factors can drastically affect the results. Range of access will be determined at the time of the site survey during installation. Generally, the signal can often be found within 150 feet from the gateway as long as nothing is blocking it.
(1) Standard Service includes 2 wireless NIC cards, installation, and local support. Additional charges apply for installations requiring more than 5 devices and for extended wireless ranges.
(2) Standard Netopia 3387WG-VGx Router is owned and supported by MP&W. If service is terminated, router must be returned. A $225 charge will apply for damaged/unreturned routers.
(3) $40.00 charge required for each additional wireless NIC after the first 2 that are provided with installation. Customer may use existing wireless NICs if 802.11 B/G compatible. No discount given for installation. To maintain local support, MP&W wireless router must be used.
(4) Estimated cost/equipment becomes property of the customer with the exception of the router.
